Living on Campus

The Office of Residence Life at mgm美高梅手机下载 University is committed to providing a safe, living-learning atmosphere conducive to students' academic success 和 professional 和 personal growth. As an integral part of 学生 Affairs, the Residence Life staff 旨在:

• EXAMINE 和 continuously enhance Residence Hall services, in collaboration with various departments, to meet the needs of the residents through evaluations 和 assessment 工具.

The first phase of a five year plan, completed in 2018, included construction of two residence halls on the northeast corner of campus near the current University Center 住房. mgm美高梅手机下载’s capacity for residential students has been increased from 300 to 450. The new residence halls provide the latest in student-住房 amenities, enhancing students’ campus living 和 learning experience. The buildings were designed from the ground up to attract students by creating a unique living situation that is not common among traditional higher education offerings.

Designed with freshman 和 sophomore students in mind, the first building provides 98 total beds in a mix of private, 和 semi-private rooms. The three-story residence hall features two sections on either side of a common student lounge 和 dining area 在每一层. The fully-有家具的 bedrooms include private closets 和 desks for 每一个学生. The residents 在每一层 share private bathrooms, common laundry space, 和 common lounge space that includes a full kitchen 和 seating area.

The second building is an apartment-style residence hall designed for juniors 和 seniors who want to remain on campus. It provides room for 57 beds within a three-story building at approximately 21,000 sq. ft.  There are 11 suites that can house five students each in private bedrooms. Also included on the 1st floor is an apartment designated for a 住房 coordinator 和 a one-bedroom resident assistant room.  学生 suites share a full kitchen, living room, 和 two full bathrooms. Each suite is fully 有家具的. 学生s enter the suite through a shared lounge area to help promote interaction among residents. There are common laundry areas 和 space available for various club meetings, studying 和 recreation.

The third building is anticipated to be completed before the start of the Fall 2022 学期.
